Mt. Sterling is a historic small town with real character — brick storefronts on Main, farmhouses out on the township roads, and a lot of homes with hardwood floors that are older than most of us. Those floors have stories in them. They also have squeaks, scratches, water rings, and sometimes a layer of 1970s carpet hiding what's underneath. We love working on Mt. Sterling homes because the bones are usually worth saving.
Most of what we see in Mt. Sterling falls into three buckets: hardwood refinishes on original floors, basement and kitchen water-damage repairs after a long winter, and kitchen remodels where the new floor has to match the rest of the house. Buddy handles the install himself. If the subfloor is older-than-plywood framing — we've seen it more than once — he works around it instead of telling you to rip it out.
