Owner-Installed
Buddy installs every residential job himself. No third-party crew, no install-on-a-list-of-contractors gamble. The person who measured your room is the person who lays your floor.
Hardwood, LVT, laminate, carpet, tile — the guy who measures your room is the guy who installs it. No subcontractors we've never met.
Most flooring shops are a front counter and a rolodex. You walk in, pick a product, and the install gets handed to whichever crew is available that week — a crew the owner has probably never met. That's the industry default, and it's how jobs go sideways: mismatched seams, gaps at the transitions, subfloor problems nobody flagged, finish work nobody owns.
We run it different. Buddy installs every residential job personally, with a small crew of apprentices he has trained himself. Natasha measures every room at the quote stage — free, in your home, no high-pressure sales pitch. When the product arrives, Buddy is the one on site. When there's a subfloor surprise, Buddy is the one making the call. When the last plank goes down, Buddy is the one cleaning up.
It's slower to grow a business this way. We take fewer jobs than a shop with three subcontracted crews. But the floors we install last, they look right, and when something needs a follow-up two years from now, you call the same guy who installed it.
Four steps. Buddy and Natasha handle them all — no subcontractors, no hand-offs, no finger-pointing.
Call Natasha at (614) 301-1958 or walk into the showroom at 55 W High Street. Tell us what rooms you're thinking about, what products you like, and roughly when you want the work done. We'll give you a sense of what fits your budget before we even measure — no wasted trips.
Natasha comes to your home, measures every room in scope, and checks the subfloor condition. She'll flag anything unusual — uneven slabs, moisture concerns, tricky transitions — so there are no install-day surprises. No high-pressure pitch. No same-day-only pricing tricks.
You get an itemized quote: product cost, labor, subfloor prep, furniture handling, cleanup. Everything accounted for, no surprise change orders on day three. Once you sign, we lock in a specific install window so you can plan the week around it.
On install day, Buddy and his apprentices show up with the right tools, the right product, and the experience to handle whatever the subfloor throws at them. Furniture moved. Room prepped. Floor installed. Furniture returned. Site cleaned. You walk your new floor before we leave.
Residential installs aren't just about the product — they're about who shows up to lay it. Here's what's different about a Redds-install job.
Buddy installs every residential job himself. No third-party crew, no install-on-a-list-of-contractors gamble. The person who measured your room is the person who lays your floor.
We inspect the subfloor before any finish product goes down. Cupped plywood, moisture issues, slab cracks — we catch them during measurement, not halfway through install day when you're stuck paying for delays.
We move it and put it back. You don't need to rent a pod, call your brother-in-law's truck, or shuffle couches between rooms for a week. Tell Natasha about anything fragile and we'll handle the rest.
No. Buddy installs every residential job personally, with a small in-house crew of apprentices he has trained. We don't hand your job off to a third-party install team we've never met. The guy who measures your room is the guy who shows up on install day.
No minimum. Small repairs and single-room jobs are welcome — a bathroom re-tile, a staircase carpet, a patched hardwood section. If a big-box store told you the job was too small, call us. We live here in London and we take the work our neighbors need.
No — we handle it. Our crew moves the furniture out of the room on install day and puts it back once the new floor is down. You don't need to rent a pod or call friends with trucks. Just let Natasha know if there's anything fragile or special-order during the measurement visit.
Depends on the product. LVT and laminate are typically 1–3 days. Hardwood runs 2–5 days depending on whether it's pre-finished or site-finished. Carpet is usually 1–2 days. Tile is 2–4 days because of the thinset and grout cure times. Natasha gives you a specific window at the quote stage so you can plan around it.
Call Natasha to book a free in-home measurement. No subcontractors, no same-day-only pricing, no pressure. Just the Redds and your new floor.
